Buying the museum domain

Today I bought the domain for our museum project: thefuturemuseum.com (though it’s currently just pointing into limbo), through my existing personal hosting provider, Dreamhost. It would have only taken a few minutes, if it weren’t for our preferred name being taken by a squatter (museumofthefuture), so we had to quickly come up with an alternative.

Time spent buying the domain: 5 minutes

Money spent: £6.39

Your day seems to have 12 hours in it not 24?

    Why not use future.museum?

@Anonymous – we considered it but have decided (for now) on .com: it is an easier and quicker registration. We’re also unclear (and http://about.museum/register/ doesn’t seem to say) how much .museum domains are?
